Mr. St. John began serving as Assistant Principal for Student life at St. Peter-Marian in August of 2019. Prior to coming to SPM, Mr. St. John spent over a decade in higher education most recently as the Assistant Dean of Students at Clark University. As Assistant Dean, he managed the unit responsible for all aspects of campus life including student organizations, leadership development, residential life and housing, conduct, and new student orientation. Mr. St. John was interested in being in an environment and in a role where he would have more direct, daily contact with students and families. In addition to his work in higher education, he has experience in the classroom teaching previously in the Business and Communications department at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME.
Mr. St. John received his M.S. in Counseling and Applied Educational Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and his B.S. in Sport Management from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. An alum of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg, he cares deeply about the value and importance of Catholic education and is excited to be a part of a faith-filled school community. Mr. St. John and his wife Amanda, who is also a Bernardian, live in their hometown of Leominster with their two children Mackenzie and Caleb and are parishioners at Holy Family of Nazareth Church.
